IPSWICH, MA, September 08, 2011

Consilium Global Business Advisors today announced that it will participate in the US Small Business Administration’s Export Matchmaker Trade Fair & Conference to be held 14 September, 2011 in Tampa, FL. The program is designed to provide a venue for SMEs to identify potential trade resources and export assistance partners. Through its participation, Consilium Global Business Advisors will afford SMEs from the southeast the opportunity to easily evaluate and engage Consilium for assistance in exporting to markets worldwide, including the BRIC and CIVETS markets of Brazil, Colombia, Vietnam and India in which Consilium has considerable expertise.

Statistically only 1% of American companies export, yet 95% of the world’s consumers reside in other markets (both per Commercial Service data.) According to Dept. of Commerce research many of the companies which do export, only do so to one foreign market – often Canada or Mexico. Many American companies are overwhelmed by the perceived complexities and risks of export trade and miss huge sales opportunities.

“Growing revenue is becoming increasingly difficult for companies focused solely on domestic markets,” says Ed Marsh, Principle, Consilium Global Business Advisors. “But the untapped export opportunities are huge, and the resources available to SMEs under President Obama’s National Export Initiative are terrific. Many companies just need the experienced guidance of folks who have built business overseas to utilize those resources and actually take the plunge into export markets.”

Dave Kaupp, Principle, Consilium Global Business Advisors, and noted strategic marketing and localization authority, adds “The beauty of the Consilium Method is that we provide companies with a vertically integrated, single source export advisory. The investment is manageable and the integrated suite of solutions which we provide (including market research, channel management, marketing localization, advocacy assistance and logistics/legal/finance expertise) relieves exporters of both “silo” challenges and the risk of learning through expensive, frustrating missteps.”

Through participation in the Export Matchmaker event, Consilium Global Business Advisors will support the National Export Initiative and introduce many potential exporters to the easier path to revenue growth and market diversification – Consilium’s export assistance programs.
